Ex-Power Ranger is Ready to Be a Part of Live-Action AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER
Although I may not be excited about the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, I do hope that it does well. One key part of that will be getting the right actors. While the original creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, have said they will have a diverse cast, we have no idea who will be a part of this. However, Yoshi Sudarso may be hinting that he wants in on the project. Sudarso will be known by Power Rangers fans as Koda, the Blue Dino Charge Ranger. He recently posted on Twitter a picture of him with a scar that will be infamous to Avatar fans as the same kind Prince Zuko has.
Now, there’s a lot that this picture could be about. First, it could be him just having some fun. Second, he could just be throwing his hat in the ring as many actors like to do these days on social media. Third, could he be working on an unofficial video? Behind him is artist and martial artist Osric Chau and the amount of work that I’m sure they went through to get that scar on Sudarso’s face probably means it’s more than just a quick job to make a plug. Whichever way you look at it, I’m sure we can all agree, the scar looks awesome and I think Sudarso could make a great Zuko. He might be too old to play Zuko in the time frame of the original series, but if they did a series a little after the events of the original, he could be perfect.
