Exciting LOCKE & KEY Featurette Released by Netflix Dives Into the Screen Adaptation of the Story's Imaginative Head Key

Netflix has released an incredible looking featurette for their adaptation of the comic book Locke & Key. The comic was written by Joe Hill, and the series stars Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (Utopia) as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott (It) as Bode Locke, Sherri Saum (The Fosters) as Ellie Whedon, Darby Stanchfield (Scandal) as Nina Locke, Griffin Gluck (American Vandal), Laysla De Oliveira (In the Tall Grass), Petrice Jones (Step Up: High Water), Thomas Mitchell Barnet (Wayne), Steven Williams (It), Kevin Alves (Shadowhunters), and Asha Bromfield (Riverdale).

Here’s the synopsis:

Locke & Key revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine with their mother Nina (Frances O’Connor), only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them.

This featurette incredibly explains how they bring the series to the screen and visualize the concepts in the comic, such as the “head key,” and it’s pretty amazing to see. This series will be visually stunning, and I can’t wait to check it out.

Watch the video below, and watch Locke & Key on Netflix beginning February 7.

Locke and Key co-creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriquez- join showrunners Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill - to talk about the graphic novels' journey from comic to screen. Locke and Key debuts on Netflix on February 7.
