Exciting Sneak Peek Released for Disney's Upcoming Attraction STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE
The highly anticipated Disney park attraction Star War: Rise of the Resistance is set to open up this week at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. I haven’t even been to Galaxy’s Edge yet, but I’m excited about the opportunity to go when it presents itself! I’ve heard so many great things this epic Star Wars experience!
Anyway, with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening up on December 5th, we’ve got a new sneak peek video to share with you that aired recently on Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration on ABC.
The sneak peek video highlights various segments from the attraction that "invites you to be a recruit of the resistance to stand up against the First Order." This promo video gives us our best look yet at what we can expect from the attraction.
Guests will be given a secret mission by Rey (Daisy Ridley) and piloted by Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). After being captured by the First Order, Finn (John Boyega) shows up to help you escape the Star Destroyer before it blows up. Here’s a more detailed description:
The new attraction will put riders in the middle of a battle between the villainous First Order and the heroic Resistance in a dangerous off-planet mission as new recruits. Along the way, the recruits will be captured aboard a Star Destroyer, break out of a First Order detention cell, elude the clutches of Kylo Ren and escape back to a secret base on the Star Wars planet of Batuu, the setting for the new 14-acre Galaxy’s Edge lands.
The Rise of the Resistance attraction will feature videotaped, holographic and audio-animatronic appearances by some of the characters from the latest Star Wars trilogy. The “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Adventure Awaits” TV special showed scenes being filmed for the Rise of the Resistance ride by Daisy Ridley (who plays Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Issac (Poe Dameron) and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren). The actors recorded their scenes for the new attraction while making the upcoming “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” movie.
The attraction is said to last fifteen minutes, and it looks like it’ll be a blast! It won’t be released at Disneyland until January 17, 2020.
