Experience Steven Spielberg's JAWS in IMAX This Summer! Here's an IMAX Trailer

Universal Pictures has teamed up with IMAX for a rerelease of Steven Spielberg’s classic 1975 film Jaws coming this summer! The film will be hitting IMAX screens on September 2nd! You know, I’ve actually never seen Jaws on the big screen, so watching it in IMAX will be a fun experience!

Jim Orr, president of Theatrical Distribution for Universal Pictures said in the announcement: "Universal is honored to have been a part of so many extraordinary, unforgettable Steven Spielberg films over the past 47 years, including Jaws in 1975, E.T. in 1982 and Jurassic Park in 1993. No filmmaker, it's fair to say, has had a greater or more enduring impact on American cinema or has created more indelible cinematic memories for tens of billions of people worldwide. We couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate the anniversary of E.T. and the first Universal-Spielberg summer blockbuster, Jaws, than to allow audiences to experience these films in a way they’ve never been able to before."

E.T. will be re-released in theaters on August 12th, for those of you who are interested. In Jaws, “When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.”
