Extended Clip From UNCHARTED Features an Action-Packed Airplane Sequence
Sony Pictures is looking to continue to build the hype for its upcoming action-adventure film Uncharted with a new extended clip that they’ve released. The clip features a sequence on an airplane that sees Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake dodging bullets before being yanked out of the plane.
This looks like it could be a fun flick, it just doesn’t feel like an actual Uncharted movie with the silly casting decisions that have been made.
The movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom), and it will tell the story of a young Nathan Drake before he becomes the adventurous treasure hunter from the game. Nathan Drake is known for his adventures across the world as he uncovers various historical mysteries. Sully is his mentor.
Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother...but only if they can learn to work together.
Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the script and the film also stars Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali, and Tati Gabrielle. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think.
The Uncharted movie hits theaters on February 18th, 2022.
