Extended MARVEL'S AVENGERS Video Game Trailer Helmed By KONG: SKULL ISLAND Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts

A new extended trailer has been released for the recently released Marvel’s Avengers video game. This trailer was directed by Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. It’s fun and interesting to see filmmakers make the leap into the world of video games to play around and I’m sure that Vogt-Roberts has some fun putting this together.

Marvel’s Avengers comes from Crystal Dynamics and is published by Square Enix and the new trailer for it is titled “Time to Assemble CG Spot.” Vogt-Roberts made sure to fill the trailer with some awesome action sequences!

The new story involves the Avengers team breaking up after a mishap, and then reuniting five years later. Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, will play a major role in bringing the team back together.

Here are the details that have been revealed for the game:

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

The game has been getting mixed reviews since it was released. You can read our review for it here. We gave it a 6 out of 10. I was actually looking forward to playing this game so it’s a shame that it’s not living up to the expectations.

Check out the new trailer below and let us know what you think! Have you played the game yet? Will you be playing it? What are your thoughts?
