Extended Trailer for SyFy's 12 MONKEYS Series
The SyFy Channel has released an extended trailer for their great looking new series, 12 Monkeys, which is based on director Terry Gilliam's classic sci-fi time travel film. The show stars Aaron Standford (X2: X-Men United) as Cole, who was previously played by Bruce Willis.
The story follows the character as he travels from 2043 to the present day so that he can locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will all but annihilate the human race. While on his mission he teams up with Dr. Cassandra Railly (Amanda Schull) as well as a female mental patient named Jennifer Goines (Emily Hampshire), which is a character loosely based on the character played by Brad Pitt. Here's a more detailed synopsis:
12 Monkeys follows the journey of a time traveler, Cole, from the post-apocalyptic future. Using a dangerous and untested method of time travel, Cole arrives in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate 93.6% of the human race. Taking place in the ravaged future of 2043 and the present day (2015), 12 Monkeys explores themes of destiny, fate, love and the possibility of second chances.
