Face Your Fears in Latest Great Trailer for A MONSTER CALLS

A new trailer was recently released for the stunningly great looking film A Monster Calls. It was released in conjunction with National Face Your Fears Day. I've heard nothing but praise for this film that was directed by J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, The Impossible). I haven't seen it myself yet, but apparently, it's a bittersweet film with the power to leave you in tears.

The movie is based on a children’s fantasy novel, which follows a 12-year-old boy named Conor (Lewis MacDougall) "as he attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith."

The movie also stars Toby Kebbell, Sigourney Weaver, Liam Neeson, and Geraldine Chaplin. It's set to be released in theaters on October 21st.

A visually spectacular drama from acclaimed director Juan Antonio Bayona ("The Impossible"), based on the award-winning children's fantasy novel. 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother's (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.
