FAIRY TAIL Video Game Delayed Until June
A couple of months ago, Koei Tecmo got Fairy Tail fans excited as they announced that the new game would be available in March. Unfortunately, the release date has been pushed back a few months. The reason for the pushback is “the developer’s desire to further enhance the game for a more enriching FAIRY TAIL experience.” You know, I don’t blame them. Clearly there are some things they’re still working on and if this delay helps the game feel like a complete game at launch. In fact, Keisuke Kikuchi released the following statement asking fans for a little patience:
“I am truly sorry for FAIRY TAIL’s delay, and the inconvenience caused to our fans, partners, and stakeholders who are looking forward to this title. Please allow us to take further time to polish the game to ensure it is as high quality as possible, so we can offer you a truly immersive experience. We will be working hard to enhance the magic effects, event scene effects, improving the game balance, and more! We will talk about the improvements in more detail in the coming months. This delay will allow us to ensure we provide you a much more satisfying game. Thank you for your understanding.”
Fairy Tail is now set to release on PC via Steam on June 25 and on Nintendo Switch and PS4 on June 26. You can pre-order the game now and unlock a special costume for Erza.
