FALLEN KNIGHT to Release This Year with Free Demo Next Month

Fairplay Studios and PQube have announced that their upcoming game Fallen Knight will be releasing later this year. In addition, those interested in trying the game out can download a free demo through Steam on February 3 as part of the Steam Games Festival. The game is a platformer that based on the trailer looks like a mix of Ninja Gaiden and the Mega Man Zero series and will feature sword fighting, parrying, and moral alignment mechanics.

Fallen Knight is a futuristic knight’s tale that lets gamers play as a descendant of the great Lancelot in King Arthur’s tale. Players will take on the role of Lancelot the 49th in a futuristic setting, facing off against six unique enemy heroes with a dark past of their own. Lancelot must save his city from an evil organization, The Purge, that intends to reveal the ‘truth’ of what is hidden below the city. His journey will not only shine light onto the secrets hidden in the dark but also challenge what it truly means to be a knight.

As players progress through levels, they’ll have to make the choice of either killing the Purge or skillfully disarming them. The latter option will not only give you honour points for ability upgrades, but you’ll also get an alternate ending. Honour points can be used to upgrade Lancelot’s health, abilities, and attacks. If you upgrade the Wrath of God meter, you’ll be able to heal more often to help you go further in the higher difficulties.

You can wishlist Fallen Knight now on Steam, but it will also release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
