FALLING Trailer Puts Isabel May at the Center of a Messy London Love Triangle
Love triangles are messy enough without your best friend being the other guy. That’s the problem at the center of Falling, a new indie romance starring Isabel May, KJ Apa, and Archie Renaux, and Brainstorm Media has released a trailer.
Set against the streets of London, Falling follows Jack (Apa), Johnny (Renaux), and Jillian (May) as friendship and romance crash into each other. Jack is quick-witted and afraid of commitment, but things get complicated when he falls for Jillian. What he doesn’t realize is that Johnny, his best friend, has feelings for her too.
Johnny never expected to fall for his best friend’s girlfriend, but his attraction to Jillian becomes impossible to ignore. He eventually faces a pretty brutal choice between pursuing what could be his first real love and protecting the friendship that means everything to him.
It looks like the movie is leaning into the emotional fallout of wanting someone you probably shouldn’t, with London providing a great backdrop for all the romantic complications.
There’s also the obvious question hanging over everything: who does Jillian actually want, and is there any version of this situation where these relationships survive?
The cast also includes Sophie Simnett, Emma Laird, Nick Hendrix, and Will Close. Falling is co-written and co-directed by filmmaking brothers Colin Krisel and James Krisel, marking their second feature after Last Moment of Clarity.
If you’re into romantic dramas where everybody’s feelings threaten to wreck friendships and make an already complicated dating situation considerably worse, Falling looks like it could be worth checking out.
Brainstorm Media will release Falling in select U.S. theaters on October 9, 2026.
