FALLOUT Season 2 Trailer Takes Fans to New Vegas for a Wild Ride Through the Wasteland

Prime Video has released the trailer for Fallout Season 2, and the new footage teases a thrilling return to the wasteland as Lucy, played by Ella Purnell, and The Ghoul, played by Walton Goggins, head toward New Vegas, one of the most iconic locations in the Fallout franchise.

Their mission? To unravel the mysteries behind Vault-Tec and track down Lucy’s missing father, Hank, played by Kyle MacLachlan.

The first season of Fallout was a massive hit, doing what so many video game adaptations have failed to do, capture the essence of the games while crafting something fresh and cinematic.

With its perfect mix of post-apocalyptic grit, twisted humor, and 1950s-style retro-futurism, the series stood out as one of Prime Video’s biggest successes. It racked up over 65 million viewers within 16 days of release, scored 16 Primetime Emmy nominations, and even snagged Best Adaptation at The Game Awards.

That success led Prime Video to renew the series almost immediately and, in May 2025, greenlight a third season before the second had even aired.

Season 2 is taking things to the next level. Moving the story to New Vegas is a huge deal for fans of the video game Fallout: New Vegas, which is one of the most popular entries in the franchise. The show’s version is set roughly 15 years after the events of the game, promising a familiar yet evolved world filled with danger, secrets, and all the morally gray chaos that makes Fallout so good and interesting.

Returning to the wasteland alongside Purnell and Goggins is Aaron Moten as Maximus, a loyal yet conflicted member of the Brotherhood of Steel, and Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean.

It’s adding some exciting new faces as Justin Theroux joins as Robert House, the mysterious ruler of New Vegas who was briefly teased in the first season.

Macaulay Culkin also joins the cast in a recurring role described as a “crazy genius-type character,” which already sounds like a perfect fit for the show’s offbeat tone.

And fans can expect to see the introduction of the notorious Caesar’s Legion, the brutal, Roman-inspired faction that ruled parts of the wasteland in the games.

Everything about Season 2 seems designed to expand and deepen the Fallout universe while staying true to the quirky, violent charm that made the first season such a standout. The trailer teases wild action, moral dilemmas, and a whole lot of chaos in New Vegas.

Fallout Season 2 hits Prime Video on December 17, 2025, with new episodes dropping weekly until the finale on February 4, 2026. Get ready to grab your Pip-Boy and step back into the wasteland.
