Famed Paranormal Investigator and Inspiration For THE CONJURING Franchise Lorraine Warren Has Passed Away at 92

The New England Society for Psychic Research announced this morning that famed paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren passed away. She died in her sleep on Thursday night and she was 92 years old.

Lorraine and her husband Ed were Connecticut based paranormal investigators, and as many of you already know, they were a part of some of the most prominent haunting and possession cases that we know about. Many of these cases are being told in movie form thanks to The Conjuring movie franchise.

Some of those investigations include The Perron Family Haunting, The Amityville Case, Annabelle the Doll, A Haunting in Connecticut, The Southend Werewolf, The Trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson and more. In the 1950s the Warrens started the New England Society for Psychic Research.

Her husband, Ed Warren, passed away in 2006 at the age of 79.

I’ve been fascinated by the paranormal adventures of the Warrens for a long time, and that fascination all started when I saw The Amityville Horror film for the first time. I enjoy this kind of paranormal investigation stuff and they are one of the main reasons that I’m so into it.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to her family and friends.
