Fan Uses Deepfake to Improve Data in STAR TREK: PICARD
It is always at least a little awkward when movie and television studios try to bring back characters who are passed away, have aged a lot, or for some other reason can’t be accurate to their previous presentation. We’ve seen this a number of times in Star Wars, but there are other examples such as Data in Star Trek: Picard. Deep Homage has gone ahead and used deepfake technology in an attempt to improve Data’s appearance in the show and it looks great to me. Do you prefer these unofficial deepfakes or the official work?
