Fandango Launches a FanShop Where Fans Can Buy Cool Movie Merchandise
Fandango is expanding beyond movie ticket sales. They have launched an online store called Fandango FanShop that will sell lots of movie merch to fans that include toys, prop replicas, t-shirts, hats, and other collectibles. One example of what they will be selling is the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Star Lord figure that you can check out below. Other movies that they will be selling merch for in the near future includes Wonder Woman, Baywatch, and Despicable Me 3. They will also offer access to special events that correspond with certain theatrical releases.
I'm always buying my movie tickets from Fandango and the fact they are now opening a merch store is pretty cool. In case you're wondering how this shop will be different from other online fan stores, they will be leveraging its ongoing movie fan research:
Fandango is differentiating FanShop from other merchandise sites and apps by curating select products and experiences that are handpicked by studios, filmmakers and fans. New merchandise and experiences will be introduced throughout a movie’s life cycle, so there is always something new for fans to discover. In the coming months, FanShop will also feature dedicated hubs for beloved franchises.

Fandango, the leading digital network for all things movies, today launches its first-ever online movie merchandise store, Fandango FanShop (FandangoFanShop.com), featuring specially-created collections of unique and exclusive wearables, collectibles, and experiences tied to theatrical releases and beloved movie franchises.
Today’s debut features limited edition and exclusive merchandise for the highly-anticipated summer movies, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” “Baywatch,” “Wonder Woman” and “Despicable Me 3.”
“At Fandango, we are always looking for ways to enhance the moviegoing experience,” says Fandango President Paul Yanover. “We’re very excited to launch Fandango FanShop as we help activate excitement for upcoming releases with hand-selected movie merchandise and experiences.”
FanShop’s launch catalog was influenced by a Fandango survey of more than 1,500 movie fans on the types of merchandise they would want from these upcoming movies. Some of the exciting offerings include:

Fandango will promote FanShop across the company’s digital network, and connect consumers directly to the store to peruse and purchase merchandise. In the near future, Fandango plans for fans to be able to purchase movie tickets and merchandise in the same transaction on Fandango, and buy merchandise with Digital HD movies on FandangoNOW, the company’s video on-demand service. Fandango also plans to offer movie ticket and merchandise bundles as special promotions and as gifts with purchase. Some of the movie ticket bundles may also include promotional codes for FanShop merchandise.
