Fans Are Debating If Image Is Tease or Simply Easter Egg for New MARIO STRIKERS
Over on Reddit, gkelter shared an image from a recent Nintendo Treehouse event of some gameplay of Luigi’s Mansion 3. In the image, Luigi is walking down a hall and one of the images on the right side is from Mario Strikers, the Mario spin-off where they play soccer. Now this is causing some debate among fans about whether this is hinting at a new Mario Strikers game (the last one was released in 2007 on the Wii) or if this is simply a nod to them.
I, personally, would love a new Mario Strikers game. I’ve only played it a handful of times, but I absolutely loved the original. It was a lot of fun. However, I imagine this is nothing more than an Easter egg for fans to enjoy. After all, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is being developed by Next Level Games who also made the Strikers games. Also, other fans commented on the fact that other games from the developers such as Punch-Out!! And Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon also have pictures in this same hallway.
