Fans Are Seeing Similarities Between ENDGAME and Marvel's EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES Animated Series
So, how about that Avengers: Endgame trailer that dropped yesterday? It was surprising in a lot of ways. One thing that surprised me was how much new footage we got. Of course, it’s possible that a lot of the footage is not real, but one thing that is corroborated by promo material and toys are the fancy space suits that the Avengers are wearing in the hanger.
Some think that these suits are a bit of a callback to a moment in The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated series as can be seen in the tweet below by Christopher Yost, who was a writer on the series when Marvel was actually making good animated shows:
There are some similarities. The overall color scheme is roughly the same with red, white/gray, and blue. Also, the team is very similar as the cartoon features Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, and Hawkeye who are all part of the larger Endgame team.
Of course, in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes the team goes to space in these suits to confront Kang the Conquerer. This is a little different than the situation in Endgame, but it is interesting to see that the film maybe took some inspiration from an animated series.
Avengers: Endgame will be in theaters on April 26, 2019.
