Fans of THE LOST MINE OF PHANDELVER Will Enjoy the Unofficial LOST IN SHADOW Adventure

The Lost Mine of Phandelver is the adventure included in the Starter Kit for Dungeons & Dragons. It’s a fun adventure worth playing in my opinion (heck, the Russo Brothers constantly replay it) and is a fantastic adventure for first-timers and veterans alike. Well, Chris Valentine has decided to take this classic adventure and put his own spin on it with Lost in Shadow. This unofficial adventure features many similarities to Lost Mine of Phandelver, but there are twists such as the players ending up in the Shadowfell. I don’t want to say too much for fear of spoilers, but if you’ve played Lost Mine of Phandelver, you’ll be able to appreciate a lot of references and nods, but this is not a mirrored adventure. It may start the same way, but it quickly becomes a very different adventure for you to enjoy. This is perfect for parties to go from level 1 to level 5.

This alternate starter campaign takes you to all the familiar locations of the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure from the other side of the veil. Some places look the same, some very different. The entire plane is trying to strip you of your mind, your memory, and your motivation. Discover how the Forge of Spells was fueled. Learn the location of lost adventurers from the original Phandelver expedition. See what Cragmaw Castle looked like in its prime. All of this and more, as this takes you from level 1 to level 5 with well over 20 hours of play time.

You can purchase Lost in Shadow from DMs Guild for $7.95.
