FANTASTIC BEASTS 3 Has Revealed Its Far-Off Release Date

According to Warner Bros. Studios, the third installment of the Harry Potter prequel series, Fantastic Beasts, will have a release date of November 12, 2021, just a few days shy of a full three years after the movie series’ second film. I have to admit that although I love the Harry Potter books and movies, and I enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts film very much, I still haven’t seen the second one. My kids were sick around that time, then the holidays happened, then life happened. But it is on our list of the movies we need to get to. I was pretty sad to hear that the reviews were not great, but the people I know who have seen it were happy with it, so I don’t think I’ll be as disappointed with the movie as the critics say I should be.

When I heard that the release date will be a full three years away from the second movie, I was pretty surprised. But I guess it makes sense when you think of the big names that are set to return to the franchise. Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Johnny Depp (Edward Scissorhands), Katherine Waterston (Logan Lucky), Jude Law (Captain MarvelEzra Miller (Justice League), and many more are set to return to the third film. Production begins in the spring of 2020. At least I know I have plenty of time to watch the second one!

Are you excited for a third film in the franchise? Did you like the second film despite the reviews?
