Fantastic First Trailer for Wes Anderson's Star-Studded Movie ASTEROID CITY
Focus Features has released the first trailer for Wes Anderson's new film project Asteroid City, and this movie looks like it’s going to be fantastically fun! I’m a fan of the films that Anderson Makes, but this looks like it might just be one of his better ones.
The story is set in a fictional American desert town in 1955. In the story, “the itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.”
That world-changing event is the arrival of an alien. I sure do enjoy Anderson’s filmmaking and storytelling style and he always brings together a great ensemble cast! This one includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, and Tom Hanks, with Sophia Lillis, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope Davis, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, Fisher Stevens, Rita Wilson, Jarvis Cocker, and Jeff Goldblum. I’m surprised Bill Murray isn’t in it!
Asteroid City will be released in theaters on June 17th, 2023. Enjoy the trailer!
