Fantastically Ghoulish New Trailer For SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK

If you’re excited about Guillermo del Toro’s film adaptation of the classic horror book series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, I’ve got a new trailer here for you to watch today filled with all kinds of horrific and ghoulish goodies!

I really like what I’ve seen from this movie so far. The setting, the tone, the visual designs of the creatures… it all very much feels like the disturbing stories that I grew up reading. It just looks like it’s going to be a fun and playful horror movie.

It’s was directed by André Øvredal, who is best known for making The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Trollhunters and this is a new synopsis that was released:

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind...but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.

The cast of the film includes Zoe CollettiMichael Garza (Wayward Pines), Austin Abrams (Brad’s Status), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom), Austin Zajur (Brad’s Status), and Natalie Ganzhorn (Make it Pop).

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark will be released in theaters on August 9th.

From the dark imaginations of Academy Award®-winner Guillermo del Toro and acclaimed director André Øvredal, based on the iconic book series, comes Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - in theaters this summer. It's 1968 in America.
