Fascinating Filmmaking Style Comparisons of Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson

Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson are both extremely talented directors with their own signature styles. The films they’ve made in the course of their careers are very different from each other — they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. But there are moments in Anderson’s work where you can tell he was inspired by Kubrick.

Video editor and film buff Dante Guerilla created a wonderfully fascinating video that compares the style of the two directors and shows us how similar they are to each other. It’s interesting to see how some of the shots that Anderson uses are similar to what Kubrick was doing. Some of those things include the super long zoom shots and the flat-angled pan that moves across a set.
