Fascinating Trailer For The Upcoming Documentary THE REAL CHARLIE CHAPLIN

I’ve had an admiration for Charlie Chaplin ever since I was introduced to his films as a youth. When I was a teenager and taking my deep dive into film history, I would go to the library to check out the films of the legendary entertainer. It was also around that time that Robert Downey Jr.’s biopic film Chaplin was released. I remember sitting in the theater with a couple of my good friends transfixed as we watched the film in wonder.

There’s a new documentary coming out soon that will be released on Showtime that will focus on the life of Chaplin and the kind of man that he was when he wasn’t acting. It will tell the story of his rise from the slums of London, to being the most beloved star in Hollywood, to the controversy surrounding him and his fall due to the communist witch hunt. This doc looks like it will be a fascinating look at the life of Charlie Chaplin.

The film is titled The Real Charlie Chaplin, and it comes from the award-winning creative team behind Notes On Blindness and Listen To Me Marlon.
