FAST AND FURIOUS Actor Sung Kang Joins Stephen Amell's Sci-Fi Thriller CODE 8
Actor Sung Kang is best known for playing the beloved Fast and Furious character Han Seoul-Oh (yes, his character name is the same as the popular Star Wars scoundrel.). But now Kang has officially joined cousins Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell in the sci-fi thriller Code 8.
The Hollywood Reporter says Kang will play the head of a militarized police unit in the indie directed by Jeff Chan. THR describes the premise:
Code 8 is set in a world where 4 percent of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, but rather than be billionaires or superheroes, most "specials" face discrimination, live in poverty and often resort to crime.
That leaves Connor Reed, played by The Flash star Robbie Amell, as a powerful young man struggling to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment. To earn money, he joins a criminal world led by Garrett, played by Arrow star Stephen Amell.
We saw a short film for the project back in March 2016 you can see that below.
The premise sounds pretty interesting, almost like Elysium crossed with X-Men. I'm very interested in checking this one out. What do you think?
