FAST AND FURIOUS Director Teases Possible Space Sequel

It's unclear right now whether director J. Gary Gray will continue directing the Fast And Furious franchise, but I hope he does after hearing what he had to say about a potential sequel in space (via Slashfilm):
 

“Outer space? Listen, I wouldn’t rule anything with this franchise. When I read submarine I’m like ‘OK, anything’s possible’. [Laughs] You never know. I haven’t read “Dom on Mars” yet but again, you just never know.”

It sounds crazy, then again it probably would've sounded crazy that this film franchise would still be relevant in 2017 if you had told someone shortly after the first screening of Tokyo Drift, so I'm holding out hope. Maybe they can do some weird mashup of Pitch Black and Fast And Furious? I'm just spitballing here, how do you feel about a space sequel to the franchise?
