FAST AND FURIOUS Writer Pitches Idea That Riddick is Dom's Long Lost Brother
Over the years Fast and Furious fans have jokingly and seriously talked about taking the franchise to space. After a movie like The Fate of the Furious, it seems like the next ridiculously logical step to take the franchise.
Screenwriter Chris Morgan recently sat down with Uproxx for an interview and it was there that he was asked if we might one day see Dom and his family take the action to space, and he didn't shoot down the idea. He told them:
“Look, I get all versions of that question. I get, ‘Are you going to space?,’ and, ‘Please, God, tell me you’re not going to space because you’ll lose me if you do.’ … The only way I’d go to space is if I had something so good.”
He then went on to pitch the idea that Riddick is Dom's long lost brother, saying:
“What if Dom’s long lost brother, Richard B. Riddick showed up?”
Yes, he's talking about a Fast and Furious and Riddick crossover, which would be one of the most absurdly awesome things ever! Like all of the films in the fast and Furious franchise, you would just have to leave your brain at home with a movie idea like that.
It would be quite the experience seeing Vin Diesel as Dom teaming up himself as Riddick. Something like that might just cause the universe to implode! I know this is a crazy far-fetched idea that will never happen, but someone at least needs to do a trailer mashup of it!
What would you think about seeing a Fast and Furious and Riddick crossover film?
