Father and Daughter Ewan and Clara McGregor Star in Trailer for Heartbreaking Drama BLEEDING LOVE
A trailer has been released for the road trip father/daughter drama Bleeding Love, from director Emma Westenberg (Strangers Arms). The film stars real-life father and daughter Ewan McGregor (Star Wars, Big Fish, Fargo) and Clara McGregor (The Birthday Cake, American Horror Story), and the script was written by Ruby Caster, based on a story she developed with Vera Bulder and Clara McGregor.
From the producers of Past Lives and May December, the trailer showcases a family drama about addiction, reconnection and healing. Aside from the McGregors starring as on-screen father-and-daughter, the film also stars Kim Zimmer, Devyn McDowell, Sasha Alexander, Jake Weary, and Vera Bulder.
The official synopsis reads:
“Starring real-life father and daughter Ewan and Clara McGregor, Bleeding Love is a gritty, emotional tale about healing familial wounds through re-connection. After a drastic incident in her life, a young woman (Clara) embarks on an impromptu road trip with her estranged father (Ewan). En-route to their destination of Santa Fe, New Mexico, the two are forced to confront the issues of their past that have led to their frail relationship, while encountering an eccentric array of characters along the way, in order to bring them closer together again.”
This looks like an incredible performance from the McGregors. Check out the trailer below, and watch Bleeding Love in theaters and on VOD on February 16, 2024.
