Featurette For James McAvoy's Horror Thriller SPEAK NO EVIL Explores The Original Danish Film
Universal Pictures has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for Blumhouse’s upcoming horror thriller Speak No Evil. It explores the original Danish horror film as well as the remake and what went into to retelling the bone-chilling story.
James McAvoy explains: “It is quite a different film. We took the original and we pushed it as far as we could.”
In the film, “When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.”
The movie is described as an “intense suspense thriller for our modern age” and Mcvoy is said to deliver “a riveting performance as the charismatic, alpha-male estate owner whose untrammeled hospitality masks an unspeakable darkness.”
The movie comes from director James Watkins, and it also stars Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, and Aisling Franciosi.
Universal Pictures will release Speak No Evil in theaters on September 13th, 2024.
