Fede Alvarez's ALIEN Movie Is Moving Forward with the Casting of Cailee Spaeny
Momentum and 20th Century Studios are moving forward with its new Alien movie that’s being directed by Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe). Deadline is reporting that Cailee Spaeny is currently in talks to starin the film, which Ridley Scott is producing through his Scott Free production company.
There are no details on the story to share, but the film is said to tell a standalone story. So, while the film will be set in the same universe as Alien and Aliens, it will tell a different story in another corner of the universe. The project is said to offer “a new take on the franchise and will be disconnected from the narrative of the three Alien films.”
Spaeny was previously cast as Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla opposite Jacob Elordi, who will play Elvis. She will also appear in the Alex Garland movie Civil War and was recently seen in How It Ends.
We don’t have any other details to share, but it will be interesting to see what this turns out to be.
