FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY Cast Shares Their Favorite Wrestling Moves
Fighting With My Family, which premiered at Sundance recently to generally positive reviews, is based on a 2012 documentary called The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family, and is, as you may have guessed, about a family of wrestlers with a focus on the one daughter who gets a shot at the big time. The movie was produced by Dwayne Johnson (who also plays himself in the film) and WWE Productions, and is already scheduled for release on February 14 in the US. You can check out the frankly great trailer for it here.
The movie has a great cast, including geek faves Nick Frost and Lena Headey, as well as Vince Vaughn, Jack Lowden, and Florence Pugh. Stephen Merchant directed the film from a script he wrote. The whole gang is at Sundance to promote the film, and they sat down with Variety to talk about their favorite wrestling moves. They are a bit loose and chaotic, almost like a real family. Check it out:
Born into a tight-knit wrestling family, Paige and her brother Zak are ecstatic when they get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try out for the WWE. But when only Paige earns a spot in the competitive training program, she must leave her loved ones behind and face this new cutthroat world alone. Paige's journey pushes her to dig deep and ultimately prove to the world that what makes her different is the very thing that can make her a star.
