Final Trailer for MORBIUS - Jared Leto's Vampire Character Is Faced with a Difficult Choice

“Let go of what you used to be. Discover who you’re meant to be.”

Sony Pictures has the final trailer for its upcoming Marvel movie Morbius, and it puts a focus on a difficult choice that Morbius has to make. Does he hunt and consume blood to live? Or does he choose to die? As you’ll see he’s got a couple of different people influencing his decision,

Michael Keaton’s Vulture is telling him that he has a gift, and to embrace it and become what he’s meant to be. Then there’s Matt Smith’s character Loxias Crown who seems to be influencing him to be a villain. In the end, Morbius will find some kind of middle ground as he is an anti-hero.

The film stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius as "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength — and fought Spider-Man. Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles.”

Leto is joined by Jared Harris (Mad Men, The Crown, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Terror) in the film along with Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising) as Martine Bancroft, who was engaged to Morbius before he accidentally turned himself into a vampire. She ends up becoming a potential victim as Morbius learns to cope with his insatiable bloodlust, and Tyrese Gibson is in the movie.

Morbius was directed by Daniel Espinosa, and it will be released in theaters on April 1, 2022.
