Final Trailer for Netflix's GHOST IN THE SHELL: SAC_2045 Anime Series and Premiere Date
Netflix has dropped a final trailer for its upcoming Ghost in the Shell: Sac_2045 anime series. The trailer has got plenty of new action-packed footage for you to enjoy. A lot of fans don’t seem very happy with the animation and art-style of the series, and I have to agree… it’s not the ideal visual look. But, I’ll still watch in hopes that the story will be good.
The series is set in the year 2045, “the world has entered a systematic ‘Sustainable War.’ Hired as a mercenary unit, the former members of Japan’s elite Section 9 are faced with the sudden appearance of ‘Post-Human’ a being with tremendous intelligence and physical capabilities.”
The series is being directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ultraman), and newcomer Ilya Kuvshinow is heading up the animation and character design for the series. The series includes the original voice cast of Atsuko Tanaka as Motoko Kusanagi, Akio Otsuka as Batou, and Koichi Yamadera as Togusa.
The new Ghost in the Shell anime is confirmed to have two seasons so far with 12 episodes planned for each. Check out the trailer and let us know if you’ll be watching the series. It’s set to premiere on April 23rd.
