Final Trailer for THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 Teases a Stylish Showdown in Fashion’s Most Ruthless Arena
20th Century Studios released the final trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, and this long-awaited sequel is ready to strut into theaters with confidence this May. Nearly two decades after the original took over pop culture, the fashion world is calling us back and this time, it’s heading to Milano.
The new film picks up in a very different media landscape, where print is struggling and power players are forced to evolve or get left behind. At the center of it all is Miranda Priestly, still commanding the room but now facing pressure from every direction as retirement looms.
One of those pressures comes from a familiar face. Emily Charlton, once her loyal assistant, is now a formidable rival executive, and the competition for advertising dollars is heating up.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci all return to reprise their roles, bringing Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel back into the spotlight. The sequel also reunites director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, the creative duo behind the 2006 hit that helped define an era of fashion-forward storytelling.
The sequel also introduces a wave of fresh talent, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. On top of that, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are back as Lily and Irv.
The studio is clearly aiming big, positioning the film as a potential early summer hit when it lands in theaters on May 1, 2026.
