Final Trailer for THE HOUSEMAID Starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney Promises a Truly Unhinged Ride
The final trailer has been released for the thriller The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, with Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins.
The movie, about a live-in maid trying to escape her past, while getting reeled into another nightmare, is directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Spy, Ghostbusters, A Simple Favor).
The screenplay is written by Rebecca Sonnenshine, adapted from the novel of the same name by Freida McFadden.
The synopsis reads: “The Housemaid plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sydney Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar).
“But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous – a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.”
This trailer actually made me more interested in this movie than I had been before. I love Paul Feig, and I think he may have made another fun flick full of twists and turns.
Check out the trailer below, and watch The Housemaid in theaters everywhere this weekend, December 19th.
