Find Out When AMC Will Unveil The First Trailer For PREACHER
As a fan of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's comic, I'm very curious to see what Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and showrunner Sam Catlin (a writer/producer on Breaking Bad) are going to do with their TV adaptation of Preacher. Rogen recently talked about how they're planning on straying from the source material, which makes me even more curious about what elements from the comics they're going to include and what new aspects they're going to bring in their version of the story. And though we've only seen a teaser poster up until now, we finally know when we're going to get our first official footage from the upcoming series.
ScreenCrush reports that AMC will unveil the first trailer for the show on November 1st during a 90-minute long episode of The Walking Dead, so be sure to set your DVRs if you want to see it live on the air. Not long ago, Rogen tweeted that the show would premiere in May of 2016 before deleting that tweet and altering his statement to a more vague "2016," so maybe this first look trailer will include an official release date so we can know how much longer we have to wait.
Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s twisted ’90s comic book series, “Preacher” is about Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, the three embark on a journey to literally find God.
Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti, and Ruth Negga star in the show, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
