Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk Will Write and Direct Horror Comedy HELL OF A SUMMER
Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Billy Bryk (When You Finish Saving the World) are teaming up to make a movie. They will write and direct a contemporary horror-comedy titled Hell of a Summer, and they will also star in the film alongside Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus).
Wolfhard, who will be making his directorial debut with the project, said in a statement: “I am so excited to be co-directing my first feature film. I get the chance to work with an incredible cast and crew, and to work with a company like 30WEST and Aggregate is a real dream.”
There are no story details to share for the film, but Hechinger will also produce alongside Aggregate Films’ Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan, and Parts and Labor’s Jay Van Hoy. 30West is fully financing and executive producing the film.
Production kicks off in Ontario, Canada this month. It’s pretty cool to see these young actors going out to make an original movie and expand on their talents and skills as filmmakers. Who knows what that will lead to for them!
