Adorable First Footage from Pixar’s Animated Short PIPER

Pixar’s upcoming film Finding Dory will open with a charming animated short film called "Piper." I recently had the opportunity to see the short at an early screening for Finding Dory, and I absolutely adored it. I’ve enjoyed most of the short films that Pixar has made over the years, but this definitely is one of the most delightfully charming ones that they've made.

The short was directed by Alan Barillaro, and today we have a brief clip from it for you to enjoy. The story centers on a young sandpiper who is forced by his mother to start learning to take care of himself on his own. If you ever explode from cuteness, this is the movie that will light the fuse.

As you’d expect from Pixar, the animation is absolutely beautiful. You’ll get to see the full short when Finding Dory opens in theater on June 17th, 2016.

In Pixar Animation Studios' new short, "Piper," a hungry sandpiper hatchling discovers that finding food without mom's help isn't so easy. Piper is directed by Alan Barillaro (supervising animator "WALL*E," "Brave") and the short will debut in front of Finding Dory, in UK cinemas on July 29, 2016,
