First Badass Look at Matilda Lutz in the New Film Adaptation of RED SONJA
Millennium Media has shared a first-look image for its upcoming big-screen adaptation of Red Sonja, and that’s Matilda Lutz (Revenge) looking badass in the title role! I’ve actually been excited about this movie, and I like that Lutz was cast in the film. She might be really good in the role. I loved her in the film Revenge.
M.J. Bassett (Solomon Kane, Silent Hill: Revelation) is directing the movie, and it also stars Wallis Day (Sex/Life, Batwoman) as Annisia and Robert Sheehan (The Umbrella Academy, Misfits) as Draygan. Additonal cast members include Michael Bisping (xXx: Return of Xander Cage) as Hawk, Martyn Ford as General Karlak (F9: The Fast Saga, Final Score), Eliza Matengu (Thor: Love and Thunder) as Amarak, Manal El Feitury (Code Red) as Ayala, and Katrina Durden (Doctor Strange, Shadow and Bone) as Saevus.
The script was written by Joey Soloway (Transparent) and Tasha Huo (Netflix’s Tomb Raider). Principal photography is currently underway at the Bulgarian Nu Boyana Studio with additional shoots at the Greek Nu Boyana Studio later this month.
Red Sonja was created by Robert E. Howard and adapted by Roy Thomas.
