First Clip For BLADE RUNNER 2049 Features Officer K Visiting a Child Labor Camp
The first clip has been released for Blade Runner 2049. It's called "Bigger Than You" and it features Ryan Gosling's Officer K visiting a dystopian child labor camp. It looks pretty damn depressing.
In the clip, we are introduced to Walking Dead actor Lennie James, who plays a man that seems to manage the child sweatshop. When Gosling flashes his LAPD badge James’ character panics and tells him that men "bigger than you have tried to shut me down." The clip just opens up more questions regarding the plot of the film.
The movie takes place thirty years after the events of the first film. Ryan Gosling plays a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K. He discovers a long-buried secret that has the potential to push what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
The film also stars Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista, Edward James Olmos and Jared Leto.
The sequel was directed by Denis Villeneuve and it's set to arrive in theaters on October 6th.
