First Clip From Marvel's THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Sees Thor Seeing Mighty Thor For the First Time
Marvel shared the first clip from Thor: Love and Thunder during the MTV Movie & TV Awards tonight. The clip offers an extended look at the scene we’ve seen in the trailers, which sees Thor (Chris Hemsworth) seeing Mjolnir come to him in the middle of a battle and as he reaches out for it, it flys away and ends up in the hand of Mighty Thor, who happens to be Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). The film was directed by Taika Waititi and the film finds Thor “on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters on July 8th, 2022.
