First Cool Poster For OCEAN'S 8 Assembles The Crew - "Every Con Has It's Pros"
Warner Bros. has released the first poster for director Gary Ross' Ocean’s 8. It's a pretty cool poster with a fun stylized design that fits the franchise brand. The poster assembles the all-female crew that consists of Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean; Cate Blanchette as Lou; Rihanna as Nine Ball; Mindy Kaling as Amita; Awkwafina as Constance; Helena Bonham Carter as Rose; Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger; and Sarah Paulson as Tammy. The story will revolve around them attempting to pull off the heist of the century at a New York City star-studded annual Met Gala.
In a previous interview, Sandra Bullock offers some additional details on the film saying:
“Yes, I am Danny Ocean’s sister. I’ve been incarcerated for about five years and you find out why during the course of the film. I mean, that’s sort of a tiny subplot. But that’s, you know, but I’m definitely his sister and we definitely come from the same family and we’re both very good at what we do in our own special way. So you can only imagine that once I get out, that’s when the heist ensues.
"We’re not a reboot. We’re just a ‘this is what’s happening in 2017.’ It’s not even a passing of the torch. It’s a parallel story of another family member that was raised in the same family Danny Ocean was and what happens when Debbie steps out of jail with all of these amazing, powerful women.”
I'm a fan of the Ocean's franchise and I'm actually kind of excited about this new film. I love the cast and I hope it turns out as good as the films Steven Soderbergh made. The movie will also feature cameos by Matt Damon, James Corden as an insurance investigator, and Dakota Fanning also has a role. Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Anna Wintour, Adriana Lima and Katie Holmes will also appear. and I really hope that it turns out.
Ocean's 8 is set to hit theaters in the summer of 2018.
