First Cyborg Olympics Happening This October
The first Cyborg Olympics, or Cybathalon, will hold its inaugural games this October, according to IGN. The first games will be held in Switzerland, and will encourage competitors to utilize technology in order to better compete in the games. Event organizer Robert Reiner created the event after experiencing his own struggles with day-to-day living and utilizing prosthetics. Reiner hopes that the games will spark interest and spotlight innovation within the field to give a better quality of life to those who utilize them.
I love the idea! We are always seeing prototypes of stuff like this that is supposedly designed to help people, yet we never see it in a practical environment! I hope they broadcast the event!
