First Glimpse of EVIL DEAD BURN Promises Brutal, Blood-Soaked Terror
The Evil Dead franchise isn’t slowing down anytime soon. After the spine-crushing carnage of Evil Dead Rise in 2023, the next chapter, Evil Dead Burn, is on the way, and it looks like it’s going to be another bloody savage ride.
Director Sébastien Vaniček recently shared a brief but intense first look at the upcoming film, giving fans a little taste of the chaos he’s been cooking up. The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but what it does show is pretty brutal.
In the clip, one of the film’s characters is seen furiously slamming a blood-soaked metal object into something, or someone, possibly a Deadite, over and over. The sound of flesh meeting steel and the desperate screams make it clear this movie isn’t pulling any punches.
The shot cuts to black before you can see what’s being attacked, leaving the rest to your imagination.
Plot details for Evil Dead Burn are still under wraps, though it’s confirmed to be an unconnected spinoff rather than a direct continuation of Evil Dead Rise.
The cast includes Souheila Yacoub (Dune: Part Two), Hunter Doohan (Daredevil: Born Again), Luciane Buchanan (Chief of War), and Tandi Wright (Pearl), all playing new characters who will likely face the franchise’s signature demonic mayhem.
Vaniček has been upfront about his vision for the film since early development. He previously said that he wanted to push horror boundaries even further, saying:
“I wanted to make a nasty movie, a film that hurts. […] I’m going to put all the horror I have inside, [and] it’ll be cathartic.”
With Evil Dead Burn now officially wrapped and set to hit theaters on July 24, 2026, fans of splatter-filled terror have plenty to look forward to. And once Burn ignites, the Evil Dead saga will continue yet again with another untitled project from filmmaker Francis Galluppi.
