First Image From Disney's DUCKTALES Reboot
A year ago it was announced that Disney would be developing a reboot of their classic animated series Ducktales. I used to watch this show religiously when I was growing up in the totally awesome '80s. Today Disney released our first image from the series featuring Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and of course, Donald Duck.
The new show follows "Scrooge McDuck, his curious and mischief-making grandnephews — Huey, Dewey and Louie — and the optimistic yet temperamental Donald Duck as they embark on high-flying adventures worldwide. Other beloved characters slated to be in the new stories are: Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack."
Judging from the image, the series looks like it has fun retro pulpy style too it. There's no doubt my kids are going to love this. As for fans of the original cartoon, nothing will be able to take its place. The new series is set to will premiere in 2017 on Disney XD.
