First Images Appear For TOKYO GHOUL Live-Action Film

New images have surfaced for the upcoming film based on the popular manga and anime Tokyo Ghoul. Comicbook reports the two images found below showcase actress Fumika Shimizu as Toka Kirishima and Masataka Kubota as Ken Kaneki! Check out the pics and a description of the film and continue reading below...

"Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way - except their craving for human flesh. Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she's only interested in his body - eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own.”

If you've seen the anime, you know this film has the potential to be super awesome and intense! We've been let down by live-action anime before, however, so I'm prepared for this one to not even hold a candle to the anime. Honestly, if the Japanese film does well, I would love for an American studio to buy the rights and use their money to make it bad ass! If you've never seen the series, I think you'll agree after watching this trailer...

Tokyo Ghoul will be released in Japan this summer.
