First Impressive Trailer for the X-Men Marvel Series LEGION

During the Marvel: Cup O'Joe panel at Comic-Con, the studio premiered the first trailer for their FX X-Men-inspired series Legion. The show actually looks like it could be pretty awesome! I really enjoyed what I saw in this trailer.

The series focuses on a character named David Haller, who has struggled with mental illness since he was a teenager. "Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real."

Haller is also known as Legion, and he is the son of Gabrielle Haller and Charles Xavier in the comics. He's a pretty powerful mutant who is one of the founders of X-Men. One of the things I like about the character most is that his mutant powers are controlled separately by his different personalities, which makes him incredibly unique.

Legion comes from Fargo creator Noah Hawley and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton, and Bill Irwin. The series will eventually premiere on FX, and I'll definitely be checking it out.

Legion follows David Haller, a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he's confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and visions might be real.
