Photos and Details For Steven Soderbergh's Netflix Western Series GODLESS with Jeff Daniels
Steven Soderbergh has made a seven-part western series for Netflix called Godless! Soderbergh is a hell of a great filmmaker and storyteller and I couldn't have been more happy and excited to find out that he was going to make a western! Netflix has released a collection of photos giving us our first look at the limited series, and we also have some story details to share with you.
The cast for the series includes Jeff Daniels, Michelle Dockery, and Jack O’Connell. That's a group of fantastic actors right there and it's great that they are a part of this project. Especially Jeff Daniels! Now, here's the synopsis:
Notorious criminal Frank Griffin (Daniels) and his gang of outlaws are on a mission of revenge against Roy Goode (O’Connell), a son-like protégé who betrayed the brotherhood. While on the run, Roy seeks refuge with hardened widower Alice Fletcher (Dockery), an outcast herself, in a worn-down, isolated mining town of La Belle, NM — governed mainly by women. When word reaches La Belle that Griffin is headed their way, the town bands together to defend against the murderous gang in a lawless western frontier.
Sounds like an awesome western epic and I can't wait to watch it! I absolutley love what I'm seeing in these first photos. Hopefully we get a trailer soon. Godless comes to Netflix November 22, 2017. Check out the photos below and tell us what you think!
