First Look at BATMAN: HUSH Animated Film and Voice Cast Officially Announced

The above image is from the upcoming animated adaptation of Batman: Hush. Jeph Loeb wrote the original story with Jim Lee penciling, Scott Williams inking, and Alex Sinclair coloring the work back in 2002-2003.

Batman: Hush centers on a mysterious new villain known only as Hush, who uses a rogues’ gallery of villains to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life, which has been further complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

That story sounds right up my alley, so I’m going to try to find those comics now. In the meantime, the film will be voiced by a slew of DC veterans as well as some new blood. Jason O’Mara will reprise his role as Batman, Dachie Alessio will portray Lady Shiva, Stuart Allan will be Damian Wayne, Geoffrey Arend will voice Riddler, James Garrett will voice Alfred, Adam Gifford will be Bane, Peyton List will voice Batgirl and Poison Ivy, Sean Maher will lend his voice to Nightwing, Jennifer Morrison will play Selina Kyle, Jerry O’Connell will be Superman, Rebecca Romijn will play Lois Lane, Jason Spisak will be the voice of Joker, Maury Sterling will be Thomas Elliot, Tara Strong will lend her voice as Reporter, Bruce Thomas will voice Jim Gordon, Vanessa Williams will be Amanda Waller, and Rainn Wilson will be Lex Luthor.

Justin Copeland is directing the animated film that was written by Ernie Altbacker. You’ll be able to watch Batman: Hush on Blu-ray, Digital, and DVD this summer.
