First Look at Brandon Routh as Kingdom Come Superman in CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS

The CW has revealed the first image of Brandon Routh as Kingdom Come Superman in DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event series. As you can see, he looks awesome in the role!

I always like Routh in the role of Superman. While I wasn’t a big fan of Superman Returns, Routh was great in the role, and I’m happy to see him get to play the character again.

Kingdom Come Superman was introduced in a DC comic miniseries from Mark Waid and Alex Ross. It gave us an older, darker take on Superman as his faith in humanity and their reliance on superheroes is destroyed. He ends up retreating to the Fortress of Solitude. In has absence there is a rise of dangerous super villains, and years later, when he returns to reform the Justice League, they construct a prison to put all these villains in.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will unite the entire Arrowverse series franchise – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. It’s a five-episode epic that will span two quarters, with three episodes airing in December and the two concluding installments debuting in January.

What do you think about Routh’s new Superman look?
