First Look at Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook in the SPIRIT HALLOWEEN Movie
Last month it was announced that the Halloween store chain Spirit Halloween was being adapted into a family adventure horror film. Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook are starring in the film, and today we have a first look at their character thanks to a couple of photos that have been released.
In the film, “When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”
Variety reports that Lloyd plays “wealthy land developer Alec Windsor. Decades ago, one Halloween night, Windsor disappeared without a trace and ever since his cursed spirit is said to haunt the town each year on October 31 for one hour.”
Cook plays Sue, “who has recently remarried after her husband passed away. When a Spirit Halloween store pops up in an abandoned strip mall, Sue’s teenage son Jake and his friends decide to spend the night there for a dare. But they get more than they bargained for when an angry spirit posses the animatronic characters inside.”
The film also stars Donavan Colan (Zoe), Dylan Frankel (Raven’s Home), Jaiden Smith (Blue Bloods) Marla Gibbs (El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie), and Marissa Reyes (Raven’s Home).
David Poag is directing Spirit Halloween, which is expected to be released in October 2022. I really hope this turns out to be a fun flick!
